Closing to emails[edit]

I found another email closing…

The standard is:
Thanks,

A useful alternative is:

Hope that helps,

I just realized this can be very useful:

I appreciate your attention,

Any thoughts on others?

  • Two closings that I (the person I was emailing) really hate: Regards and Cheers.

Some that I like:

  • Thanks for all your help,
  • All the Best,
  • Have fun,
  • Sincerely, (but only when actually being sincere)
  • “Hope that helps,” can be useful when actually trying to be helpful. However, I’ve seen people use it as kind of a blow-off when they are not being helpful at all.
  • “Thanks” and “I appreciate your attention” are both very good.
